Taper-Lock bush – The flexible shaft-hub connection

Taper-Lock bushes have taken root as simple shaft-hub connection for standard and series drives. Lütgert provides the full range of drive elements both standard and custom-made.

The elements are available ex stock in standard sizes 1008 to 5050, and in special sizes 6050 to 10085 in all bore diameters.

Clamping sets for installation and dismantling on a regular basis

The Taper-Lock system has succeeded with standard drives that have required flexible shaft diameters and adjustment. There are limitations in torque transmission and system stability when installation and dismantling is carried out frequently.

Should this be the case, we recommend clamping sets (frictional connections). The best solution is a pulley version with cylindrical drill and enhanced shaft.

The standard material is cast iron EN-GJL-200 (GG-20) according to DIN EN 1561. Alternative materials are possible upon request (EN-GJS, steel, aluminum, plastic etc.)

TAPER BUSHES Metric Bores/ Inch Bores

Using Taper Bushes it is possible to achieve “shrink fit” of pulleys, couplings, etc, onto shafts quickly and safely.

WELD-ON HUBS

Weld-On Hubs are made of steel, drilled, tapped and taper bored to receive Tapered Bushings. They are very useful for welding into fan rotors, pulleys, plate sprockets, impellers, agitators and many other devices, which must be firmly fastened to the shaft. Types W, WM, WH are available.

BOLT-ON HUBS & TAPER ADAPTERS

SM & BF Bolt-On Hubs are designed for use with the Taper Bushings. They provide a convenient means of securing fan rotors, impellers, agitators and other devices that must be fastened firmly to shafts.

AM & BM Type Adaptors for Taper Bushes are available for use in parallel bored components, thereby eliminating the need to drill, tap and taper-bore.
